Requirements

  • Minimum Requirements:
  • Working toward Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or other related technical or engineering degree

  • Wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves and hard hats.

  • React quickly using hands, fingers, or feet.

  • Ability to adapt to very hot outdoor weather conditions.
  • Have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive a company truck
  • Technical Requirements:
  • If the candidate is technically proficient, Atlas will assist the candidate in attaining ATTI Field Technician Certification, ATTI Soils and Aggregate Certification, ATTI Asphalt Certification, ACI Field Concrete Technician, NICET, & SCT Certifications, as needed and dependent on project requirements.
  • Ability to read and write technical descriptions, plans, technical specifications and proficiently use Microsoft Office programs.
  • Other miscellaneous qualities:
  • Ability to travel, when needed, approximately 80%
  • Team-oriented with strong organization skills and excellent communication skills to be a part of our CMT/Geotechnical Department.
  • Ability to work as a solid contributor in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Entry-Level position, primarily for field work with some in an office and/or laboratory environment.
  • Ability to identify inaccuracies or inconsistencies in quality control reports, produce accurate descriptions/analysis of data and testing.
  • Capable of completing assigned tasks on time and occasionally working long hours or weekends to do so.
  • Ability to understand directions and execute assignments, operate a company vehicle, work outdoors, communicate effectively with peers, willing to take on new assignments and ensure their completion within scope and budget in a safe manner.
