Requirements

  • Education and Experience
  • Must be enrolled in a Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering program or equivalent;
  • Some project based experience with particular emphasis in the testing role would be an asset.
  • Skills and Knowledge:
  • Working knowledge of formal software lifecycle;
  • Unix Operating Systems;
  • Knowledge of DOORS or other requirement management tool would be an asset;
  • Practical knowledge of Matlab would be an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience with Git or other software configuration management tool would be an asset;
  • Knowledge and experience with RTC, JIRA, or other bug/issue tracking tool would be an asset;
  • Development in C/C++ or Python would be an asset;
  • GUI (Graphical User Interface) design and implementation would be an asset
  • Working knowledge of Real Time Software would be an asset;
  • Working knowledge Network architecture and protocols, socket programming would be an asset;

Responsibilities

  • Perform software test activities and execute verification tests as directed by the Test Lead to ensure design requirements are met;
  • Working under guidance from a senior engineer, develop and perform test cases to validate specific requirements;
  • Assist in analyzing requirements allocated to the Acoustic Processing System;
  • Assist in developing technical documentation;
  • Operate and maintain test simulators and equipment;
