Requirements

  • To qualify as a candidate, individual's must be enrolled in the Co-op Program and have yet to graduate from a recognized post-secondary institution in Canada.
  • 3rd of 4th year students working on their Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Political Sciences, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Strong data organization skills combined with critical thinking to propose methods of maintaining data
  • Strong analytical skills, combined with good judgement and ability to learn quickly.
  • Strong working knowledge SharePoint, MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Visio).
  • Some process flow, network, architecture diagram experience with Visio would be considered an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (both written and oral) skills are an asset and the ability to work efficiently, independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Some understanding of networking outputs, windows/unix commands and/or operating system administration would be considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Working with IT’s Cybersecurity Risk and Compliance team may include: Helping organize, reformat, or align Cybersecurity documents for audit. Review if documentation contain obligated data per their applicable policies. Running reports for data aggregation and/or correlation. Tasks will be assigned based on the needs of the department. strengths of the student and other learning objectives.
  • The student will learn about within the utility industry and be given the opportunity to develop his/her communication skills, software skills and professional judgement.
