Requirements

  • Studying Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Horticulture, Landscape Design, Landscape Architecture, Forestry or related discipline in a 2 or 4 year degree program
  • Driver’s license required. Commercial driver’s license highly valuable
  • Must have enthusiasm for proper plant care and arboriculture
  • Love of the Outdoors!
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Demonstrated ability to report for work regularly and punctually
  • Collaboration and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Interns will be assigned a manager that will mentor them through a variety of job experiences within the Commercial Landscape Service line
  • Enhance the appearance and value of properties through the cultivation of shrubs and trees.
  • Plant, spray, weed, fertilize, and water plants, shrubs, and trees.
  • Perform proper pruning to prevent girdling roots and promote a central leader on trees.
  • Transplant seedlings, cuttings, trees, and shrubs.
  • Maintain and repair irrigation and climate control systems.
  • Drive, use, maintain and properly operate landscape equipment.
  • Hours:
  • 40-50 hours per week, Monday-Friday with some Saturdays required.
