Requirements

  • Intern must be an undergraduate or graduate student currently enrolled in a college or university.
  • Current enrollment in an accredited college or university leading towards a Bachelor's degree with major course work in Communications, Marketing, Public Administration, Environmental Science, or similar program.
  • Current enrollment in an accredited college or university leading towards a Bachelor's degree with major course work in a related field of study specific to the departmental and/or work assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to social media efforts based on analytics and needs of the department
  • Assist with set up, execution and breakdown of events
  • Assist with the creation of signage, circulars, mockups, email, or other promotions
  • Attend meetings and take meeting minutes
  • Obtain and prepare analysis of data
  • Assist with preparation of presentations for internal and external use
  • Help coordinate press conferences and create press kits
  • Assist with special projects and assignments
  • Completes research projects
  • Creates marketing materials for residential and commercial uses
  • Other community engagement duties as assigned
