Summer Internship



  • The Communications Intern will assist the Community Engagements & Outreach Coordinator in Social Media postings, communication with the community and community referral building. The Communications Intern will identify and provide community resources to requesting clients and answer questions from the public. Travel within Tallahassee may be required depending on project needs.

  • Computer literacy – preferably with PC systems
  • Must pass a background check ($51.00 fee)
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must attend IRC volunteer orientation training
  • Must commit to at least 15 hours a week

  • Assist in responding to community inquires on social media and email
  • Carry out administrative duties including data entry, filing, and labeling
  • Utilize Canva working with the development team to ensure all communications created are within the IRC standard, and are created in a timely manner and as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
