Requirements

  • Passion for and understanding of public relations and media landscape as well as an understanding of current events and the ongoing news cycle
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Collaborative and results-driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work against deadlines

Responsibilities

  • This position will encompass a wide array of responsibilities, with a focus on supporting programs and initiatives for our consumer technology clients
  • The intern will have the opportunity to work on a variety of consumer technology projects and clients
  • Work closely with account team members to develop and deliver key client deliverables, learning the basics of the clients’ business
  • Manage the day-to-day admin activities for approximately 1-3 accounts
  • Monitoring client and competitor media coverage and drafting coverage recaps for the team
  • Identify key trends to help teams stay on top of current buzzworthy news
  • Assist with compiling monthly reports for the client, showcasing organic and secured placements
  • Draft media materials, including but not limited to press releases, fact sheets, briefing sheets and pitches
  • Conduct research to aid in the strategy development process for current clients and new business pitches
  • Participate in brainstorm sessions and program ideation
  • Create and distribute mailers, press kits, and briefing kits
