  • This position is highly physical and requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping and kneeling. It requires employees to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Controls Team in completing building automation and temperature control projects.
  • This position will provide support labor to an existing crew of field personnel.
  • You will be provided with a clear picture of the life of a Controls Technician.
  • Our interns will not spend 100% of time on any one task/project/job and the intern will observe/participate in multiple projects (or one large project with diversity of work).
  • Our interns are viewed as entry level, junior "controls technicians" and will work with experienced Controls Technicians.
  • You will be given opportunities to work on point to point controller checkouts, terminal equipment startup and checkout, etc.
  • You will be given the experience and opportunity to excel as a Control Technician Intern, so that you can increase your knowledge and skills.
  • You will have a mentor that is a manager or experienced technician on the controls technician team.
  • The mentor will have the primary responsibility for day-to-day workload for the intern and will oversee your performance.
  • Your work duties can include delivery of equipment and materials, on site labor assistance and general duties as directed by the senior project manager resulting in completion of tasks and a learning experience for the employee.
  • Continually enforces safety to the highest standards and maintains security and accountability of company issued and procured assets by recording use, wear and conditions.
  • Displays team effort and dedication to customer by maintaining flexibility to work overtime and weeks as the business requires.
