Requirements

  • We are seeking a college sophomore, junior or senior pursuing a degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Marketing or a related field of study. The following are basic qualifications:
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Strong grasp of AP style guidelines
  • Interest and experience using AI to support writing, editing and research
  • Strong familiarity with social media used by companies to market, recruit and manage reputation
  • Willing to work 12-15 hours a week or more based on need and availability
  • High level of motivation, willingness to learn – a go-getter willing to go the extra mile
  • Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy; strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Adobe Creative Suite software helpful

Responsibilities

  • Researching, writing, editing and proofreading key company content, including news and information shared through Kiewit online and print media, video and other relevant internal and external communication vehicles
  • Supporting key web and social media efforts, including writing and editing of key content used in these channels
  • Providing research and related support for key government affairs and public relations and materials for key company events
  • Verifying facts, dates and statistics to support various communication initiatives
  • Helping leadership with other special communication projects as assigned
