Requirements

  • Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of or experience with managed care and formulary
  • The Must-Haves:
  • You will be going into your second or third year in an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) approved Doctor of Pharmacy program in May 2024.
  • You’re available to work 40 hours per week for 10 weeks from May 20 – July 26, 2024.
  • You will be located in North Carolina during the internship program.
  • You’re legally authorized to work in the United States and should not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • The Pharmacy – Professional Engagement and Quality team works with pharmacists and other healthcare team members at participating provider groups and community pharmacies to improve member outcomes. Through regular meetings and actionable reporting, we move the needle on quality measures and cost of care initiatives. Our work helps pharmacists practice at the top of their license, resulting in our purpose to improve the health and wellbeing of our customers and communities. As a Corporate Pharmacy Intern, you will do things such as maintain a document pipeline for new drug approvals, review specialty clinical programs, run pharmacy claims reports, and work with pharmacy operations on prior authorization criteria.
