  • The CRL's State Team is seeking an intern who is ready to assist with focusing on policy analysis of and advocacy around consumer lending issues at the state level such as small-dollar loans, student loans, debt collection practices, and other related issues. The intern will support state policy approaches that advance the Center’s mission of promoting responsible lending, with a particular focus on efforts in North Carolina. Team members engage in research and writing on legal issues and policy reports, comment letters, regulatory proposals, and testimony, speeches or articles. Members of the team also provide support to state-based allies, help build or maintain state coalitions with new and existing partners, and conduct meetings with state regulators and legislators or their staff.
