Who is eligible to apply for the Year Up United program?
You can apply if you are 18-29 years old, a high school graduate or GED recipient, eligible to work in the U.S., available Monday-Friday throughout the program, highly motivated to learn, and have not obtained a Bachelor's degree.
What kind of training does the program provide?
The program provides in-classroom skill development, technical and professional training, and access to internships and job placement support.
Are there any costs associated with the program?
There are no costs to participants, as Year Up United provides an educational stipend during the internship phase.
How much is the educational stipend during the internship?
During the internship phase, Year Up United students earn an educational stipend of $525 per week.
What types of classes are offered in the program?
In-depth classes include Cyber Security, Data Analytics, Helpdesk/Desktop Support, Project Management Support, and Banking & Customer Success.
What kind of support will I receive during the program?
Participants receive personalized coaching and mentorship, as well as ongoing support and guidance to help launch their careers.
What are the outcomes for graduates of the Year Up United program?
80% of Year Up United graduates are employed and/or enrolled in postsecondary education within 4 months of graduation, earning an average starting salary of fifty-three thousand dollars per year.
Is there an opportunity for college credit through the program?
Yes, some coursework in the program is eligible for college credit.
