What is the duration of the Year Up United training program?
The Year Up United program lasts one year or less.
Who is eligible to apply for the program?
You can apply if you are 18-29 years old, a high school graduate or GED recipient, eligible to work in the U.S., available Monday-Friday throughout the program, highly motivated to learn, and have not obtained a Bachelor's degree.
What types of skills will I gain from the program?
You will gain professional business and communication skills, interviewing and networking skills, and resume building, along with ongoing support and guidance to help launch your career.
Is there an educational stipend during the internship phase?
Yes, during the internship phase, Year Up United students earn an educational stipend of $525 per week.
What companies may I intern with?
Students may have the opportunity to intern with leading organizations such as Fannie Mae, Merck, Okta, or Salesforce among others in the Baltimore area.
Are any of the classes eligible for college credit?
Yes, some coursework in the program is eligible for college credit.
What is the employment rate for Year Up United graduates?
80% of Year Up United graduates are employed and/or enrolled in postsecondary education within 4 months of graduation.
What is the average starting salary for employed graduates?
Employed graduates earn an average starting salary of fifty-three thousand dollars per year.
What classes are offered in the Year Up United program?
In-depth classes include Cyber Security, Data Analytics, Helpdesk/Desktop Support, Project Management Support, and Banking & Customer Success.
Will I receive support during the job placement process?
Yes, the program provides access to internships and job placement support through our industry-leading talent placement firm, YUPRO Placement.
