Requirements

Two or more years of post-secondary education completed by the time of starting the internship.
Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in information security or cybersecurity.
Strong academic credentials required.
Relevant work experience (i.e., internships, summer positions, school jobs) is a plus.
Above average ability to learn, take initiative, problem solve, and use computer software.
Ability to work in a team, and independently to complete assignments.
Ability to motivate himself/herself to grow professionally and serve with excellence.
Ability to assume responsibility for and complete agreed upon assignments.
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Good interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Ability to complete assignments and obtain the desired results while successfully navigating through ambiguity.

Responsibilities

Actively pursue professional development with an initial focus on cybersecurity best practices for higher education institutions to support their compliance with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA).
Actively develop cybersecurity knowledge and skills to assume increasingly more complex responsibilities.
Perform general information systems control reviews for simple to complex IT environments.
Complete assessment procedures gain proficiency in preparing documentation to support the completed assessment procedures, conclusions, and recommendations for clients to enhance controls.
Display integrity and professional behavior consistent with CapinCrouse’s focus, vision, mission, and core values.
