What role is Octopus Energy France hiring for?
We are hiring for a junior Data Analyst to join our Operations team.
Who will I be co-managed by if I join the team?
You will be co-managed by Julie, the Lead Data Analyst, and Benjamin, the Operations Manager.
What types of tasks will I be involved in as a Data Analyst?
You will help the Operations team solve business and data issues, maintain and develop the DBT codebase, create BI dashboards and data applications, collaborate on various models and analyses, and occasionally respond to customer inquiries.
What technical environment is used by the company?
We use a cloud infrastructure comprising AWS, DBT for data modeling and transformation, Python, Jupyter and JupyterHub, Airflow for task scheduling, GitHub, and Metabase and Streamlit for data analysis and visualization.
What skills are required for this Data Analyst position?
You should have knowledge of SQL, Python, Pandas/Numpy, Databricks/Jupyter Notebooks, experience with BI dashboards, collaborative experience with business teams using Agile methods, and be comfortable communicating in both French and English.
Is previous experience in the energy sector necessary?
Previous experience in the energy sector is a plus but not a requirement.
