Requirements

University experience with draping on the stand
Basic pattern cutting knowledge
University experience sewing toiles and hand sewing
Student level proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator
Student proficiency in technical drawing by hand
Understanding of fabric characteristic
Proven ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines at University
Pro-active and able to take initiative
Excellent eye for detail

Responsibilities

Cataloging and filing fabrics/ trims for upcoming seasons
Showroom and show preparations
Supporting design team in general
Liaising with other team members involved in the studio process
Assisting with general studio admin day-to-day
Assisting at the photoshoot
Assisting in fitting preparation
What you will learn / we will teach you:
You will learn about working in a small growing fashion designer brand
How to prepare and cut fabrics for sampling and production
How to meet a tight deadline under pressure
Communication skills between the department and team members
Better understanding of fabrics and trims from working closely with design team
How to sample a collection from start to finish
A good understanding of garment construction and different finishing techniques
