Requirements

  • An interest in ecosystems, natural resource conservation/restoration, and the outdoors is essential.
  • Proven technical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Ability to endure long days of physically and mentally challenging field work
  • Ability to walk long distances on flat, uneven ground
  • Ability to work safely in extreme weather conditions
  • Possess a positive solutions-oriented attitude
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with a team
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Strong work ethics and integrity
  • Good driving record and valid driver’s license
  • Ability to navigate on the road and in the field in remote settings
  • Education and Experience:
  • Enrolled in an accredited University or College and perusing a degree Ecology, Environmental Science (or related field)
  • Experience with MS office applications (Outlook, Excel, Access, and Word)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field data collection efforts for wetland delineations habitat assessments, and species surveys
  • Support data entry, and technical report preparation and production
  • Execute field work independently and safely
  • Communicate regularly with your assigned mentor and field team lead(s)
  • Comply with field safety and security protocols
