Requirements

  • Prior coursework in economics or related field preferred
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Interest in the trucking industry a plus
  • Education/Relevant Experience:
  • Pursuing a BS/BA in Economics, Finance, or a related field from an accredited university, with an average 3.0 GPA
  • Skill Requirements:
  • Proficient in economic research methods and data analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently

Responsibilities

  • Conduct economic research and analysis on topics relevant to the trucking industry
  • Assist in data collection, organization, and interpretation
  • Support the development of economic reports and presentations
  • Collaborate with the Economics team on various projects and initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned by the Chief Economist
  • Learning Objectives:
  • Develop a deeper understanding of economic principles and their application in the trucking industry
  • Gain experience in economic research methods and data analysis
  • Learn how economic trends and policies impact the trucking industry
  • Enhance communication and presentation skills through report writing and presentation development
