What is the duration of the EIB Trainee position?
The traineeship lasts for 5 months, with a fixed start date of 1st March/April 2025, and there is a possibility of extension for an additional 6 months if required by the university.
Where is the EIB Trainee position located?
The position is based at our headquarters in Luxembourg and requires regular office presence.
Who can apply for this traineeship?
Applications are only accepted from nationals of the Member States of the European Union and citizens from countries that have been officially granted candidate status to join the EU. This includes Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey, and Ukraine.
Are applications from Erasmus+ students accepted?
No, applications from students under the Erasmus+ programme cannot be considered.
What are the main responsibilities of the EIB Trainee?
The main responsibilities include providing administrative support, conducting basic research, organizing meetings, reviewing data, seeking necessary legal and technical documents, and verifying compliance with contract requirements.
What academic qualifications are required for this position?
Applicants should be in the final year of studies or hold a university degree in Finance, Economics, or Business.
Is prior experience required for the EIB Trainee position?
A first experience in banking or project investment is considered an advantage but is not mandatory.
What skills are necessary for this role?
Good organizational skills, communication capabilities, attention to detail, and good to advanced knowledge of MS Office software, particularly Word and Excel, are necessary.
