Requirements

  • Final year of studies or University degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Environmental Economics, Environmental Engineering, Natural Resources Management or any other relevant discipline with a preferred focus on environmental protection and sciences, climate change science
  • Excellent data analysis skills
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office software (i.e.Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent knowledge of English. Knowledge of other EU languages would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • You will work alongside specialists in the Environment, Climate and Social Office and your main responsibilities will be to:
  • Analyze relevant background material, including European Economic Association (EEA), World Resources Institute (WRI), Harmonized Indicators for Private Sector Operations (HIPSO) and international standard setters comparison with the established impact measurement indicators and frameworks of other public banks and MDBs;
  • Assess options for the EIB, taking account of the different sectors, geographies, project vs institution/corporate, reporting requirements and risk management frameworks in consultation with other services internally. This may involve quantitative analysis where relevant;
  • Prepare clear recommendations for the EIB.
