  • Qualifications:
  • Must be actively working towards a four-year electrical engineering degree with two years of credits completed
  • Familiar with the design and packaging of electromechanical and peripheral devices
  • Must be familiar with some electro-mechanical components and related documentation, device and component design and related documentation, production and manufacturing processes, 3D CAD tools and CAD modeling, Microsoft Office applications including MS Project, manufacturing processes and their limitation and design for ESD and conducted and radiated emissions
  • Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Must be a self-motivated team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment with close supervisory oversight by project leaders or senior members of the staff

Area of Responsibilities



  • Participate in or support of product development including overall product functionality and documentation
  • Participate in the part and assembly design and documentation
  • Support in the creation of bill of materials and engineering change orders
  • Research and analyze data such as design proposals, project requests and product specifications to determine feasibility and execution of design or applications
  • Participate in the testing and analyze test data to determine or ensure limits and specifications for products, processes and materials are met
  • Support resolving semi-routine design and redesign issues
  • Participate in assigned tasks comprising of mechanical engineering design projects or assigned aspects of mechanical engineering design projects such as sustaining engineering of designs and product modifications, product enhancements and/or new product development
  • Support the development of assigned aspects of new and modified product designs and routine fixes
  • Support the preparation of the specifications for and selection of electromechanical devices designed and produced by third parties
  • Support the development of product costs and product designs for serviceability and manufacturability using existing technologies
  • Interact with other departments to obtain product design constraints
