Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with focus on building technologies
  • Must have completed one year of study.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficient understanding of Ohm's Law as it pertains to building systems.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, crucial for collaborating with Architects and other Engineering team members across our multidisciplinary practice.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, essential for documentation and presentations within projects.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit is highly valued for its integration with our design processes.
  • Experience assisting in various phases of the design process, from initial design to construction administration and project close-out, with a specific focus on building technologies.
  • Previous internship experience is preferred, particularly with exposure to electrical drawings within architectural and other vertical building contexts.
  • A well-organized individual with an entrepreneurial spirit, eager to contribute innovative solutions to our projects.

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of a Sr. Electrical Engineer, the successful candidate will perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
  • Creating electrical plans and details with the use of Revit or AutoCAD.
  • Utilize lighting software to perform lighting calculations.
  • Assist with the electrical design of medium and low voltage power distribution, lighting, lightning protection, and grounding systems for multiple sectors including Corporate Workplace and Commercial buildings, DoD, and Mission Critical projects.
  • Work under supervision of a senior level team member.
