Responsibilities

  • - Detailed design of low to extra-high-voltage utility substations to include one-line diagrams, control and relaying schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA, communications, conduit and cable sizing/routing, substation layout, etc.
  • - Performing design calculations in accordance with industry standards such as IEEE, NEC, NESC, etc.
  • - Assisting senior engineers with QA/QC design checks.
  • - Assisting design engineers with design efforts for electric utility substation physical and protection/control design.
  • - Participating in Professional Development sessions focused on resume writing, interview tips, building a LinkedIn profile, and more.
  • - Engaging in the Early Talent Speaker Series where leaders speak to interns about their role, vision for the company, and career path, offer career advice, and a Q&A session.
  • - Joining Fun Friday activities where interns company-wide network and have fun.
