Responsibilities

  • Engineers are at the heart of developing, operating, upgrading and/or decommissioning all of Centrica’s energy asset portfolio.
  • This portfolio includes the largest gas store in the UK, offshore and onshore gas production assets and Net Zero projects including solar, battery and hydrogen technologies.
  • Our summer placement programme will immerse you in the engineering behind these assets, supporting dynamic teams and taking on real engineering challenges.
  • With a positive and proactive attitude, on this programme you will gain first-hand experience of an industrial environment, helping you develop into a successful engineer of the future.
  • Centrica’s assets are based across the UK, with hubs in Windsor, Hessle (East Yorkshire) and Brigg (North Lincolnshire).
  • Our nine-week summer placement will have elements of in-person activity at Windsor and at operational sites, and the extent of travel and in-person activity varies depending on the exciting projects our interns get involved in!
