Requirements

  • Previous hands on type work experience is high priority – mechanic, electrician, auto repair, farming, sports, band, restaurant, etc.
  • Enrolled in Engineering or engineering technology degree program
  • 3D modeling software – Solid Edge or Solid Works
  • Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Minimum Sophomore/Junior collegiate standing or Freshmen collegiate standing depending on experience
  • Preferred background in drawing, graphic arts, mechanical or electrical engineering, industrial engineering,
  • math, CorelDraw or Illustrator, 3D graphics such as Solid Edge or Solid Works
  • Able to do hands on work that is outside of the office, pulling wrenches, helping to test and fix machines
  • Able to go to workshop or test track in the middle of summer temperatures up to 110F
  • Must be flexible and able to adapt to work in the office or outdoors on the plant/test track – both the same day

Responsibilities

  • Assist with LHD and loader testing (CE, sound, etc.) when required
  • Assist with data collection and report/procedure writing
  • Assist with test track, loader and LHD operation as required
  • Assist with strain gauging tests
  • Assist Shane with documentation for PRRB and Juhin
  • Assist with LINCS analysis (we will train for this)
  • Learn 3D measurement and help with FARO arm and Laser Tracker measuring
  • Assist Ryan with investigation of MRS issues
  • Assist engineers with projects when required
  • Spreadsheets including pivot tables
  • 3D drawings and images for reports
