Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or civil engineering technology
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office & MicroStation/Autocad
  • Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.
  • What we prefer you bring to our firm:
  • CAD experience
  • Special interest in bridge and/or transportation engineering
  • Local candidates preferred, no relocation assistance provided
  • Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions.

Responsibilities

  • Copies sketches, layouts, and drawings prepared by others on to CAD.
  • Will learn proficiency in operation of computer-aided drafting and design input station.
  • Assignments of increasing difficulty will be submitted as proficiency is increased.
  • Understand and follow the company's standard CAD procedures for levels, line styles, etc., and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout.
  • Individual is flexible and may work with numerous project teams to help in project completion.
  • Maintain neat and orderly work area that will allow access to project information to other team members.
