Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and analysis of superconducting magnets, gradient coils, RF body coils, and other sub-components used in MRI systems
  • Perform thermodynamic and heat transfer analysis, including determination of heat loads, heat budgets and test verification.
  • Electrical Simulation and Design of Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) and electrical components related to RF Body Coil design.
  • Thermal & Structural design
  • Verification and Validation of mechanical design, including supporting engineering builds and testing
  • Reliability analysis of components and systems
  • Failure analysis of mechanical components
  • Development of service tools to support maintenance & safety of magnets, gradients, or body coils
  • Preparation/presentation of design analysis reports and part/assembly drawing reviews
  • Support Manufacturing and Lean initiatives
