  • Dynetics, a Leidos Company, is seeking a talented Engineering Intern to join our team. In this group, you will work to solve complex engineering problems with a highly technical, multidisciplinary team, consisting of aerospace engineers, computer scientists, research scientists, and statisticians. 


  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Advanced proficiency in programming, specifically including Python and MATLAB.
  • Fundamental understanding of mathematical concepts, including linear algebra, matrix math, statistics, trigonometry, and coordinate transformation.
  • Solid technical communication skills and an ability to work in both collaborative team environments and independently.
  • Candidates must be a resident of North Alabama area or willing to relocate in order to work on-site at the Huntsville, AL office.
  • US Citizenship required
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Aerospace Engineering: Fundamental understanding of core aerospace concepts, such as vehicle and attitude dynamics, control systems, and flight mechanics.
  • Computer Science and Math: Understanding of machine learning, reinforcement learning, neural networks, and/or statistics. Research skills to investigate novel applications of these methods.

  • The intern will support team with work that involves extensive modeling and simulation, requiring the ability to model and understand the dynamics of aerodynamic systems. These simulations are used to perform complex data analysis via end-to-end simulations and develop new and existing capabilities. This work is coupled with machine learning and subject matter expertise to create novel solutions to engineering challenges.
