Requirements

  • Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelors or Masters Degree in the Civil Engineering field at an ABET accredited university.
  • Be eager to learn; be a team player; and be enthusiastic.

  • Physically capable of performing field work including working at heights, carrying ladders and gear, working in adverse weather conditions, etc.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.

  • The preferred candidate will have a strong preference and desire for structural/ bridge engineering, a working knowledge of Microstation, AutoCAD, and a working knowledge of design drawings.
  • No relocation assistance - Local candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of tasks to support design, analysis, and plan production.
  • Utilize AutoCAD or Microstation and various other design software to assist on design related tasks.
  • Collect, organize, and evaluate data needed for basic calculations and design.
  • Assist with computation of plan quantities to support cost estimates.
  • Assist in the performance of bridge and tunnel inspections throughout MA and possibly throughout the US.
  • Assist in the preparation of bridge and tunnel inspection reports.
