Requirements

  • Current undergraduate (Junior or Senior) or graduate student in environmental science, biology, renewable energy management, project management, or a related field
  • Understanding of Microsoft products and/or complementing products preferred
  • Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise preferred

  • Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
  • Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environment
  • Speech/Reading: Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
  • Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds
  • Vision/Hearing: Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
  • Safety: Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary
  • Preferred:
  • Some college or better in Biology or related field.
  • Some college or better in Environmental and Earth Science or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting and reviewing environmental summary documents for wind and solar projects;
  • Researching and summarizing state-specific environmental and wildlife guidelines for project development;
  • Supporting team efficiency through data visualization using software such as PowerBI;
  • Collecting and organizing wildlife data from operational wind farms for industry reporting;
  • Compiling biodiversity data from operational solar projects;
  • Contributing to training materials used to educate other EDP departments about project environmental requirements and pertinent environmental regulations; and
  • Providing ongoing support to Environmental Affairs staff on the development, construction, and operation of projects based on Company priorities.
