Responsibilities

  • You will be helping Centrica develop, implement, and monitor the progress of our climate change strategy for both our own operations but also for our customers.
  • You will get first-hand insight into how the energy industry is changing and the different energy decarbonisation pathways for the future.
  • You will be working with the Group Environment Team, in the Strategy, Environment and Brand Reputation Function.
  • You will be collaborating with colleagues across the wider business and within the team, exposing you to a range of opportunities to expand your skill set and broaden your knowledge of the business.
  • You will help manage Centrica’s environmental performance reporting using our unique reporting platform.
  • You will need to be confident in IT applications, in particular Excel; as well as able to communicate effectively with operational teams and other functions.
  • You will need to be innovative and agile to overcome hurdles and contribute towards a responsible business.
  • Calculating carbon and energy savings for products such as smart meters and CHPs.
  • Modelling future carbon emission trends and improving scope 1, 2 & 3 reporting.
  • Assisting on the assurance of our progress against environmental targets.
  • Benchmarking and research on best practice.
  • Supporting disclosure for CDP, TCFD and mandatory environmental reporting projects.
