Responsibilities

  • Compilation of environmental management plans and monitoring procedures
  • Manage the implementation and maintenance of environmental monitoring plans and procedures
  • Assist in the planning and execution of a range of environmental monitoring programs
  • Collect various environmental samples, ensuring adherence to standard protocols, safety practises, and environmental procedures
  • Record and maintain accurate field date and sample logs
  • Perform preliminary analysis of water, air quality, terrestrial, aquatic and noise samples
  • Maintain, calibrate and trouble shoot monitoring equipment to ensure accurate data collection
  • Ensure that all field instrumentations and equipment are in proper working order
  • Assist in the collation of environmental data and preparation of detailed reports on a range of environmental aspects
  • Identify and manage risks onsite, and communicate risks to the Environmental Team
  • Liaise with the onsite Environmental Team for support as necessary
  • Participate in onsite coordination meetings with the Environmental Team
  • Assist with the implementation of protocols to ensure that the onsite workplace complies with safety, health, environmental and quality standards
  • Participate and review in the drafting of Journey Management Plans for work procedures and daily toolbox talks for the onsite Environmental Team
  • Working collaboratively with the Africa, Europe & Middle East Environment & Sustainability team to support on international projects on an as needed basis
