Requirements

  • Accounting Students: Undergraduate Accounting students will need to maintain a 2.5 GPA or above throughout the internship. Graduate Accounting students will need to maintain a 3.0 GPA or above throughout the internship.
  • Preferred Areas of Study
  • Enrolled in an accredited certificate, 2-year, 4-year, or graduate program during their internship.
  • Enrolled in an academic program studying Accounting or related field.
  • You will be successful if you have the following experience, skills, and abilities:
  • General accounting skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Positive attitude and desire to learn

Responsibilities

  • Processing and maintenance of records of invoices of environmental costs
  • Tracking project costs, maintaining the ledger and performing research and reconciliation of records.
  • Assisting with the monthly budget calculation
  • Preparing the monthly variance analysis
  • Assisting with the calculation of quarterly and year-end environmental liability estimates.
  • Preparing journal entries when necessary
