Requirements

  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Design, Historic Preservation, Architecture, Hawaiian Studies, Cultural or Natural Resource Management, Environmental Studies, Environmental Science, or other related field and must have completed one year of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and record data.
  • Conduct research and analyses.
  • Contribute to environmental documents and compliance processes.
  • Provide appropriate support to AECOM multidisciplinary teams.
  • Assisting in developing solutions for tasks which may include comprehensive planning and elements such as historic preservation, environmental impact assessment, environmental permitting, resource agency consultation and coordination, land use, transportation, capital improvements, infrastructure, housing, fiscal analysis, public policy, and site planning/analysis.
  • Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member.
