What type of tasks will I be performing as an intern?
As an intern, you will perform sampling or testing as directed, assist other field and office personnel, transport equipment and samples, help in equipment set-up, and be immersed in a variety of technical responsibilities that will increase in complexity over time.
Will I receive any training during the internship?
Yes, Terracon provides OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER safety training if needed, and you will be compensated for your time spent completing this training.
What educational background is required for this internship?
Candidates must have a high school diploma and be currently enrolled in an Environmental Engineering, Geology, Science, Biology, or a similar program, with a maintained GPA of 3.0 or better.
Is there an opportunity for professional development during the internship?
Yes, you will have opportunities for professional development, including being assigned a mentor who will assist with career planning and technical skill development.
Where will the internship primarily take place?
First-year interns will primarily work in the office but will also have opportunities to gain field experience through testing and investigation activities.
