Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Regional Environmental Manager to coordinate all activities associated with the company’s compliance with federal, state and local environmental laws and regulations and hold project and site teams accountable for full compliance through training, inspections, audits.
  • Establish and deepen working relationships with governmental and other regulatory agencies and Allan Myers project teams.
  • Extensive day travel to job and fixed facility sites is required for the individual in this position.
  • Report to, coordinate closely with, and support the Regional Environmental Manager as needed.
  • Build and maintain quality working relationships with all operations and environmental personnel as relates to our construction activities, shop, aggregate, and asphalt facilities.
  • Mentor and train as necessary to maintain full environmental compliance as related to our construction activities, aggregate, and asphalt facilities.
  • Generate and submit permit applications and reports as directed by the Regional Environmental Manager in a timely manner.
  • Work with the Regional Environmental Manager to develop, implement, and maintain a project/facility specific Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP).
  • Involvement with the Project Team as directed by the Regional Environmental Manager during pre-construction stage of project to implement SWPPP and BMP into all phases of construction.
  • Other job related duties/special projects as required or assigned.
