Requirements

  • Ability to work with attention to detail, accuracy, and complete projects in a timely manner.
  • General office skills such as filing, organizing materials, etc.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely as demonstrated through application materials and experience.
  • Demonstrated basic computer literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated leadership and organizational abilities.
  • Experience working with youth in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge or experience with 4-H.
  • Knowledge of basic cash handling and fiscal responsibility.
  • Willingness to assist other staff in the performance of their duties.
  • Demonstrated experience working with people as individuals and in groups; ability to forge equitable and successful partnerships with other professionals and organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Contacting local agriculture producers for possible tours.
  • Contacting catering companies for lunches during the program.
  • Creating icebreakers and other activities for the youth to participate in.
  • Creating registration packets for participants.
  • Learn the FairEntry system.
  • Create social media posts.
  • Put together livestock packets.
  • Put together judging folders.
  • Help coordinate judging times.
  • Create Supreme Exhibitor Tests.
