Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma and be currently enrolled in an accredited university engineering program
  • Ability to read and interpret English documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and batch and production records. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to be onsite 5 days a week

Responsibilities

  • Develop, evaluate, and design specifications and contract drawings
  • Perform a variety of tasks to support engineering analyses, report production, and designs
  • Prepare basic engineering calculations
  • Assist in equipment selection
  • Collect, organize, and evaluate data
  • Analyze systems utilizing computer modeling
  • Organize and file project materials and references
  • The Facilities Engineering Intern will gain firsthand experience with Architectural and Structural/Civil aspects of an operating biotech facility, biotech process and laboratory equipment, HVAC, plant and clean utility systems, electrical power and lighting, and automation. An intern may also aid in the execution of daily tasks required to operate and maintain the facility.
