What is the duration of the Fall 2025 Partial Hospitalization Internship?
The internship is a full-year program, starting in Fall 2025.
What are the weekly hour requirements for interns?
Interns are expected to be available for 24 hours a week, specifically three days a week from 8:30 AM to 5 PM.
Are there any specific educational qualifications required for this internship?
Candidates must be 2nd year Master’s students or equivalent, but 1st year Master’s students with some experience will also be considered.
Will I receive supervision during my internship?
Yes, interns will receive weekly supervision with a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) as required for graduation and licensure, along with additional on-the-spot supervision.
What types of clinical skills will I acquire during this internship?
Interns will gain skills in conducting clinical assessments, individualized treatment planning, group therapy, individual therapy interventions, case management, crisis management, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary clinical treatment team.
What day are staff meetings typically held?
Staff meeting days depend on the specific location of the internship.
Can interns take vacation during their internship?
Yes, interns can take up to 4 weeks of vacation during the internship, but all dates must be approved by the Director to avoid conflicts with other interns.
What are the requirements for passing the internship application process?
Candidates must possess appropriate citizenship work documentation and pass a CORI and drug test, along with other pre-employment documentation.
Are interns required to attend orientation sessions and workshops?
Yes, an orientation session date will be announced, and agency-wide intern workshops are required.
