Who is eligible to apply for this internship?
Internships are open to current students enrolled at a Historically Black College & University (HBCU) (those graduating by May 2026 are preferred) and recent graduates of HBCUs who graduated within the 12-month period prior to the start of the internship.
What qualifications are preferred for this internship?
Broadcast communications majors are preferred, as well as current or previous enrollment in communications classes. Prior internship or working experience in radio/TV is also preferred. Experience with digital media systems and digital editing software is a plus.
What skills are required for this internship?
Good project management, planning, and personnel management skills are necessary. Interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment are also essential. Knowledge and interest in sports, as well as the legal right to work in the U.S., are required.
What is the compensation for this internship?
The base salary for this position is expected to be $15-17.50/hr, depending on skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives.
