Who is eligible for this internship opportunity?
This internship is open to current students enrolled at a Historically Black College & University (HBCU) (those graduating by September 2026 are preferred) and recent graduates of HBCUs who graduated within the 12-month period prior to the start of the internship.
What kind of experience or skills are preferred for this internship?
Prior internship or working experience in radio/podcast/TV/Film production industry is preferred. Experience with digital media systems, ProTools or other audio editing software, MS-Office Suite and G Suite, as well as familiarity with SiriusXM and Earwolf programming are all beneficial.
What are the responsibilities of a Fall Intern in Podcast Production?
A Fall Intern will assist in producing existing shows, research sources for ongoing series, edit audio, take photos after recordings, and participate in team meetings and collaboration. They will also be required to perform other duties as requested.
What are the essential qualities a candidate must possess for this internship position?
Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to excellent storytelling, flexibility, resilience, excellent communication and time management skills, attention to detail, and strict adherence to podcast standards and ethics. They should also be well-organized, energetic, independent and responsive to feedback and direction.
