Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education and aspiration to be in an Instructional Designer role
  • Experience in using Microsoft Word and Power Point presentation development
  • Experience with Instructional Design development software to include (but not limited to) CAMTASIA, Adobe Captivate, and LMS Authoring tools and related software
  • Basic HTML and Flash programming knowledge
  • While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds
  • Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information
  • The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear

Responsibilities

  • Creating content that enhances retention and knowledge-to-skill transfer on the construction jobsites for our field leadership and Permanent Craft Employee (PCE) team members.
  • Training developed will be delivered in multiple methods utilizing both onsite SME delivery and facilitation through our Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Coordinate the development of technical training materials including outlines, text, handouts, hands on exercise materials and procedures, and development of supporting training aids.
  • Facilitate the development of technical training program materials using the ADDIE model, while engaging Subject Matter Experts (SME) in this design, development, and implementation.
  • Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts.
  • Apply tested instructional design theories, practices, and methods.
  • Provide exercises and activities (performance assessment tools) that enhance the learning process and certify mastery of job-specific competencies.
  • Create supporting material and media (audio, video, simulations, gamification).
  • Visualize instructional graphics, user interface, and the finished product.
  • Develop evaluation tools that review processes at critical junctures in the ADDIE model to ensure objective, Key Performance Indicator, and assessment alignment of curriculum/material.
