Requirements

  • pursuit of a business or finance degree is preferred
  • 2nd or 3rd year students preferred
  • Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
  • Good oral and written communicator
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to accurately process high volumes of transactions within given deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the AP team to ensure daily tasks are complete
  • Learn the systems and imaging software used including CMiC and Kofax
  • Learn about the different workflows in the AP department
  • Get an understanding of the different check runs and payment types at Shawmut
  • Interact with other departments such as Group Finance to ensure projects are running smoothly and vendors are paid timely when properly compliant
  • Support our internal clients on Accounts Payable and Travel & Expense related inquiries
  • Assist our T&E program by auditing expense reports
  • Transition between departments to understand how we interact and work together
  • Assist with the month end close process
  • Assist Corporate Accounting in reconciliations
