Requirements

pursuit of a business or finance degree is preferred
2nd or 3rd year students preferred
Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
Good oral and written communicator
Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to accurately process high volumes of transactions within given deadlines

Responsibilities

Work closely with the AP team to ensure daily tasks are complete
Learn the systems and imaging software used including CMiC and Kofax
Learn about the different workflows in the AP department
Get an understanding of the different check runs and payment types at Shawmut
Interact with other departments such as Group Finance to ensure projects are running smoothly and vendors are paid timely when properly compliant
Support our internal clients on Accounts Payable and Travel & Expense related inquiries
Assist our T&E program by auditing expense reports
Transition between departments to understand how we interact and work together
Assist with the month end close process
Assist Corporate Accounting in reconciliations
