What is the purpose of the Foreign Pharmacy Grad - International Pharmacy Intern role?
The purpose of this role is to provide Non-US Accredited Foreign Graduates with the opportunity to complete their required US Internship hours, build upon their Pharmacist education, and develop their knowledge, skills, and abilities while delivering exceptional patient care in a retail pharmacy environment.
What are the eligibility requirements to apply for this position?
To apply for this position, candidates must be Non-US Accredited Foreign Graduates who have successfully passed the FPGEE and TOEFL. They must also hold an active Pharmacy Intern license in the state where the internship is located.
How long do I have to complete my required US Internship hours?
Non-US Accredited Foreign Graduates are required to complete their internship within 18 months.
What are the primary job duties of this position?
The primary job duties include providing customer service, adhering to regulatory requirements, supporting pharmacy operations, offering patient counseling under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, and engaging in leadership responsibilities to support the pharmacy team.
Is prior pharmacy experience required for this role?
No prior pharmacy experience is required, but it is preferred that candidates have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
What qualifications are needed for this internship?
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED and a Doctorate (PharmD) or equivalent Pharmacist degree from a Non-US accredited school of pharmacy. Additionally, they must have an active Pharmacy Intern license in the state where the district is located.
