What is the purpose of this internship position?
The purpose of the internship position is to allow Non-US Accredited Foreign Pharmacy Graduates to complete their required US Internship hours, building upon their education to develop their knowledge, skills, and abilities in a pharmacy environment under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
What are the eligibility requirements for this role?
To be eligible for this role, candidates must have passed the FPGEE and TOEFL, hold a Doctorate (PharmD) or equivalent degree from a Non-US accredited school of pharmacy, and possess an active Pharmacy Intern license in the state where the position is located.
How long do I have to complete the required US Internship hours?
Non-US Accredited Foreign Graduates are required to successfully complete their internship within 18 months.
What specific skills are preferred for candidates applying for this position?
Preferred skills include proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and the eligibility to immunize once state regulations are met.
What kind of tasks will I be responsible for under this internship?
Tasks will include patient safety, customer service, pharmacy operations, counseling under the supervision of a pharmacist, and leadership responsibilities that support the pharmacy team.
