Requirements

Candidate MUST have AutoCAD and Civil 3D on their computer
3+ years of experience drafting and creating alignment sheets from survey data
Proficiency in AutoCAD and legal descriptions drafting
Oil and gas industry experience OR exp. within commercial development, highways, etc.
Reading and understanding maps, plat maps, as-builts, construction drawings and gas service records for existing condition interpolation
Robust knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
Experience with Plat Mapper preferred (or something similar)
Applicants will have a basic understanding of survey procedures and data collection and a level of knowledge to work independently
Ability to work on multiple projects using raw field data and computer data
Ability to apply land surveying methodologies, formulas, principles, and techniques to solve surveying-related problems
Ability to review their own work for accuracy and completeness and the initiative to recommend solutions or improvements as appropriate
Customer service and team-oriented
Should demonstrate they are a self-starter, organized, attentive to detail, and able to work under stress to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

Use Civil3D to create pipeline alignment sheets and plats, exhibits, and permit drawings used to construct pipeline projects
Prepare design drawings with plan, section and detail format or plan and profile as designated
Prepare sketches of details not included on existing drawings to accurately reflect as-installed field conditions
Prepare drawings, forms, maps, and lists based on approved details provided by designers and engineers
Prepare ALTA surveys and Land Survey Plats

Yes, oil and gas industry experience is preferred, but experience in commercial development, highways, and similar fields will also be considered.

What are the working hours for this position?

Working hours are generally around 7:30 am to 5:00 pm CT.

How many projects will I be expected to handle at once?

You will be expected to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
