GBH is the largest creator for public media in America, including PBS, NPR and PRX. National in scope, we are locally rooted. From Boston to the Berkshires, from Worcester to the Cape and Islands, we are dedicated to connecting the Commonwealth through news, programming, learning tools and events.

<ul><li>GBH’s Studio at the Boston Public Library is the only space of its kind in the country. It is special not only because it is free and open to all, but it has broadcast capabilities, event space, and it’s in the Newsfeed Cafe space – a wonderful mix that allows us to engage the community and build audiences in meaningful and new ways.</li></ul>Our Vision:<ul><li>GBH Mission Driven</li><li>Community Centered&nbsp;</li><li>Elevate and Amplify Cultural connections</li></ul>Goals:<ul><li>Grow and engage new audiences for all GBH content</li><li>Activate the space and fill as many seats as possible at least five days a week</li><li>Showcase GBH talent and programs and bring more transparency to our work&nbsp;</li><li>Bridge gap between GBH and BIPOC communities</li></ul>The team is looking to add an intern who is passionate about fostering community, spreading dignity, and building something from the ground up.Job Overview:<ul><li>As part of the GBH BPL Studio, GBH Interns will be exposed to live community events from development to production, giving them a firsthand perspective on how to create a community that engages.</li></ul>Responsibilities:<ul><li>Arrange the logistics events with various guest speakers and artists.</li><li>Work with GBH Studio Manager on edits notes for the video editors.</li><li>Working with GBH Studio Manager to write scripts for host and panel questions.</li><li>Manage and update logistics for upcoming events, including release forms, submission forms, and review.&nbsp;</li><li>Organize a tour of GBH Studio for college students, high schools, and other organizations.</li><li>Capture pictures and/or videos of events for our Social Media account(s).</li><li>Support setup and tear down of events at GBH Studio at the BPL.</li></ul>Skill Set:<ul><li>Far ranging interests with a quick passion and fast instinct to take concepts and run with them</li><li>Exploring unknowns with curiosity</li><li>Organizational skills&nbsp;</li><li>Global thinker</li><li>Process and application orientated</li><li>Attentive to details</li><li>Customer/people-centric&nbsp;</li><li>Familiarity with social media platforms and best practices related to business use</li><li>Eagerness to learn; Can-do attitude</li></ul>Job-Status:<ul><li>Paid Internship $17/hour (Part-time)</li></ul>Internship Overview:<ul><li>GBH internships provide students with valuable work experience and real-world knowledge across many different fields of study, from TV and radio production, to web design, accounting, law, and other administrative arenas.</li></ul>Internship Program:<ul><li>Internship Dates: September 16th to December 6th</li><li>Candidates must have their own computer and access to Wi-Fi.</li><li>Candidates must be in an Undergrad or Grad program and have work authorization for the United States.</li></ul>
