Off-cycle Internship

  • The Strategic Energy Security group is seeking a graduate intern. The clean energy transition will involve new supply chains and understanding the potential disruptions to those supply chains is crucial to NREL’s research in energy security. The intern will work with NREL research engineers to baseline supply chain flows, build systems dynamics and network models, and generate technical reports. Prior knowledge of petroleum engineering and mining is preferable.
  • The intern will work with the Energy Security and Resilience Center and Computational Science Center at NREL. Both centers support the science and technology goals of the U.S. Department of Energy and NREL toward a sustainable energy future. The centers work on supply chain resilience for energy security, optimizing solutions, and emerging technologies in electric power systems.
