Description

  • The AI, Learning, and Intelligent Systems Group in the NREL Computational Science Center has an opening for a graduate student researcher in Transportation Electrification with special emphasis on equity. The researcher will assist in developing surveys, developing synthetic population, modeling electric vehicles affordability, and analyzing charging infrastructure accessibility.
  • We are looking for a dynamic, motivated researcher with a strong technical background and an interest in the mission of NREL. The successful candidate will collaborate with NREL staff and researchers to conduct nation-wide equity analysis under the background of transportation electrification.


Requirements

  • Minimum of a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
  • Undergraduate: Must be enrolled as a full-time student in a bachelor’s degree program from an accredited institution.
  • Post Undergraduate: Earned a bachelor’s degree within the past 12 months. Eligible for an internship period of up to one year.
  • Graduate: Must be enrolled as a full-time student in a master’s degree program from an accredited institution.
  • Post Graduate: Earned a master’s degree within the past 12 months. Eligible for an internship period of up to one year.
  • Graduate + PhD: Completed master’s degree and enrolled as PhD student from an accredited institution.
  • Additional Required Qualifications:
  • Candidates should have demonstrated capabilities in large-scale data analysis.
  • Candidates must have a strong foundation in coding, particularly in Python.
