  • Familiarity of or experience with graphic design principles and creative tools – Adobe Photoshop, Canva, Capcut or other social media content creation tools
  • Organizational and project planning

  • Compensation:
  • Rising Senior: $21/hr.
  • The Must-Haves:
  • You will be a rising Senior at one of the following North Carolina Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) participating in the NC HBCU Governor’s Program - Elizabeth City State University, Fayetteville State University, Johnson C. Smith University, North Carolina Central University or Shaw University in May 2024. 
  • You’re available to work 40 hours per week for 10 weeks from May 20 – July 26, 2024.
  • You will be located in North Carolina during the internship program.
  • You’re legally authorized to work in the United States and should not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • The Corporate Communications team protects and enhances Blue Cross NC’s reputation by priming the environment, mitigating risks, and building trust with stakeholders. Our team is known for taking our work but not ourselves too seriously. We love to combine storytelling, data-driven management and creativity in amplifying our brand presence and voice. As a Social Media Intern, you will work within two business areas – social media and public relations. You will have the opportunity to create social media campaigns, write blog posts, publish announcements and articles, monitor performance and assist with the presentation development of a social media roadshow.
